The largest start-up accelerator of the world comes to Cascais | Founder Institute Programme at the DNA Nest of Companies on the 12th of March

Internationally renowned, this programme has been developing, since 2009, an after-work entrepreneurial model which has already contributed to the creation of over one thousand companies and ten thousand jobs in 55 cities across the globe. Therefore, it is in perfect synch with the Entrepreneur Ecosystem developed locally by the Câmara Municipal de Cascais (Municipal Council of Cascais) through the DNA Cascais agency. Thus, the municipality is one of the locations where the replication of the Founder Institute has everything that it needs to be successful.
With its mission to globalise the Silicon Valley model, contributing to the creation of a sustainable ecosystem of innovative start-ups, the Founder Institute follows the methodology of learning by doing. It offers a four month training programme which allows entrepreneurs to create and boost their companies in a structured manner in an after-work programme. Throughout the course, participants will develop practical actions to create a business, receiving mentoring from CEOs of large companies, such as Pedro Janela (CEO at WyGroup) and Pedro Bizarro (Chief Science Officer at Feedzai). They also have privileged access to information regarding partners, events, start-ups and Silicon Valley specialists.
Marco Oliveira, one of the mentors of Founder Institute in Portugal and CEO of the IT company Xpand-IT will participate in the session. Participation is open to all those who are interested, through a compulsory registration (due to the limited number of spaces), through the website http://fi.co/e/10431.
Take the test and see if you are an entrepreneur
In the scope of this session, the municipal agency DNA Cascais provides, free of charge, the test Entrepreneur Profile (with a market value of 50€), which sees who has the profile of an entrepreneur and if they are in sync with the Founder Institute programme. The test is available on the website http://fi.co/join/dna.
