Covid-19 pandemic | Cascais City Council measures
As part of the measures recommended by the Health General Directorate regarding this period of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cascais City Council has determined the following (last updated on 23rd march 2020):
HEALTH
1.000 beds for quarantine to respond to emerging needs
As a containment measure against #covid19, Cascais City Council informs that is setting up facilities with more than 1,000 beds for quarantine.
This set- up benefits from the participation of the social, economic, and associative of the entire municipality: CERCICA - Cooperativa para a Educação e Reabilitação de Cidadãos Inadaptados de Cascais; CRID - Centro de Reabilitação e Integração de Deficientes, as well as Sports Pavilions and other facilities.
These buildings will service health needs of the region as a response to the possible need of more beds to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
