Covid-19 pandemic | Cascais City Council measures

As part of the measures recommended by the Health General Directorate regarding this period of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cascais City Council has determined the following (last updated on 23rd march 2020):

HEALTH

Purchase of medical supplies: ventilators, gloves, suits, disinfectant

Cascais and the city of Porto have acquired 5 ventilators, to be used in acute cases of Covid-19 infection.

Made in the city of Shenzhen, boasting a European certificate, the ventilators come to Cascais as a result of the joint action of Carlos Carreiras e Rui Moreira, mayors of Cascais and Porto, respectively, with the support of Alexis tam, head of the Economic and Trade Delegation of Macau in Lisbon and Brussels.

They will be used in the Hospitals of Cascais and São João.

In another purchase of medical supplies, Cascais City Council will buy:

. 1.330.000 masks (1.300.000 FFP1 masks and 30.000 FFP2 masks)

. 10.000 Gloves

. 3.500 Protection suits.

. 2000 Protection eyewear

. 50 Thermometers

. Disinfectant gel as needed.
