Guia de Apoio à Inclusão de Alunos de Origem Migrante
Nos últimos anos, tem-se verificado um crescimento expressivo de residentes de diversas nacionalidades em Portugal, e em particular no concelho de Cascais. Esta realidade reflete-se no aumento do número de alunos de origem migrante que frequentam as escolas do Município.
Para o Município de Cascais, a diversidade no contexto educativo representa uma riqueza inestimável, uma oportunidade de aprendizagem mútua e de valorização cultural. Promover uma escola inclusiva é, por isso, uma prioridade. A inclusão é entendida como um processo contínuo, estruturado numa ação intencional, articulada e centrada no bem-estar e no sucesso educativo de todos os alunos.
Neste enquadramento, o Departamento de Educação da Câmara Municipal de Cascais desenvolveu um conjunto de recursos informativos dedicados ao acolhimento e integração de alunos e famílias migrantes — Guia, Cartaz e Flyer — que visam apoiar a comunidade educativa neste desafio.
Com esta iniciativa, o Município de Cascais reforça o seu compromisso com uma educação inclusiva e de qualidade, que valoriza a diversidade e promove a igualdade de oportunidades para todos.
Guia | Orientado para os profissionais do concelho de Cascais que, diariamente, acolhem, integram e acompanham famílias recém-chegadas a Portugal e ao sistema educativo português. Reúne informação sobre a organização, o ingresso e o funcionamento do sistema educativo nacional, bem como sobre a rede educativa de Cascais: oferta escolar, calendário letivo, refeições, cartão escolar, transportes e projetos educativos locais, entre outros. O objetivo é concentrar, num único recurso, informação essencial que permita aos profissionais apoiar e orientar as famílias que ainda não conhecem o sistema de ensino português nem a realidade educativa local.
Cartaz | Pensado para afixação nas escolas do concelho, permite o acesso rápido, através de QR Code, a informação resumida e sistematizada sobre vários domínios da área da educação: Sistema Educativo Português, Matrículas, Ação Social Escolar, Refeições e Transportes, Apoio a Alunos com Necessidades Específicas, Apoio a Migrantes e Escolas de Cascais.
Folheto | Para ser entregue às famílias recém-chegadas às escolas de Cascais, reunindo de forma breve e acessível informação essencial sobre o acolhimento e inclusão no sistema educativo local.

Support for the Inclusion of Students with a Migrant Background
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in residents of various nationalities in Portugal, particularly in the municipality of Cascais. This reality is reflected in the growing number of students with a migrant background attending local schools.
For the Municipality of Cascais, diversity within the educational context represents an invaluable asset — an opportunity for mutual learning and cultural enrichment. Promoting an inclusive school environment is, therefore, a key priority. Inclusion is understood as a continuous process, structured around intentional, coordinated action focused on the well-being and educational success of all students.
Within this framework, the Department of Education of Cascais Municipality has developed a set of informational resources dedicated to supporting the reception and integration of migrant students and their families — the Guide, Poster, and Flyer — designed to assist the educational community in this effort.
Guide | Designed for professionals in the municipality of Cascais who, on a daily basis, welcome, integrate, and support families newly arrived in Portugal and the Portuguese education system. The Guide brings together information on the structure, admission procedures, and operation of the national education system, as well as on the educational network of Cascais — including school offerings, academic calendar, meals, school card, transport, and local educational projects, among other areas. Its aim is to compile, in a single resource, essential information that enables professionals to guide and support families who are unfamiliar with the Portuguese education system and local educational context.
Poster | Designed for display in schools across the municipality, the Poster allows quick access, via QR Code, to concise and structured information on various areas of education: the Portuguese Education System, Enrolment, School Social Action, Meals and Transport, Support for Students with Special Educational Needs, Support for Migrants, and Schools in Cascais.
Flyer | To be distributed to families newly arrived at schools in Cascais, this resource provides brief and accessible information on the reception and inclusion process within the local education system.
Through this initiative, the Municipality of Cascais reaffirms its commitment to an inclusive, high-quality education that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all.
